Painted for the Nelson Mandela Bay exhibition of 2024. I have depicted early Port Elizabeth during sun rise. I all most didn't make the deadline but by pulling 3 consecutive all-nighters I managed to finish painting. Notable locations are Fort Frederick, Donkin lighthouse and the Campanile clock tower (My personal favorite). I decided to leave out all the little houses that would have dotted the mountain at the time to create a more dreamy atmosphere
