Pools of water meander through patches of land, reflecting the soft gradient of gray and brown above. Sparse trees and low brush punctuate the scene, while a distant treeline and city roofs anchor the horizon. With my palette and brushwork, I tried to evokes a sense of stillness, where solitude becomes a kind of sanctuary.
